The hotel we stayed at in St. George had a hot breakfast to-go, which was great. Ben and I fueled up and then we were off to kayak at Quail Creek State Park. This was a great way to beat the 105 degree heat and have a little fun. It was $20 for out of state vehicles, and we rented our two seater kayak at DIG Paddlesports.

The lake isn't very big and there wasn't too much to explore, which was nice in comparison to other, more crowded lakes nearby. It was pleasant how quiet it was and we were able to relax and take in the surrounding mountains. Each of us enjoyed taking a moment to cool off in the water. This was one of the most memorable parts of the trip for me. Just taking it in and enjoying time with Ben.
After turning in our kayak and life vests, Ben grabbed us a little ice cream to cool off. Kayaking for a few hours definitely made us hungry. We found an In and Out and Ben ran in to grab us lunch to take back to room. He also came out with the largest sodas I've seen. I think someone got a little excited.
