Day 6 - Bryce Canyon National Park -Exploring & Stargazing

After our hike, we went back to the lodge and ordered a club sandwich and pizza to split. It was surprisingly very good, one of the best meals on our trip. At the time, the restaurant at the lodge was only doing take-out...but it worked out perfectly. We enjoyed our food back at our cabin and it gave us a chance to wash up.

Because our cabin didn't have a TV or internet, we decided to take a drive and visit the view points I had checked out the day before, along with a few new ones. After viewing some of the beautiful spots, we drove into town to explore. There really isn't much to do in Bryce Canyon outside of the park. We walked into a couple of gift shops to kill some time. After driving around a bit, we went back to the cabin and opened up a couple of Heinekens and sat on the bench on the front porch of our cabin.

The great thing about our cabin was its proximity to the Rim Trail where we had walked earlier in the day (about a 3 minute walk). We grabbed our camping chairs and enjoyed our beers while watching the sunset and the stars slowly emerge, one by one. I don't know if I have ever seen so many stars. I grabbed my tripod for my camera to attempt a little astrophotography. I know they aren't great compared to other photographers, but I was excited to test it out and capture this cool experience we shared together. I will definitely be exploring the stars more with my camera. I can see how addicting it can be.
